Below are your Home Learning Activities for your 'Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe' Learning Programme
Each 'Week' matches a 'Stage of your Learning Journey' through the 'Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe' programme.
Some tasks you can choose to do as an extra challenge, some you must do for your Home Learning each week.
Week 1
Spellings. Remember, you must be able to use the word in a sentence:

Week 2
Spellings. Remember, you must be able to use the word in a sentence:

2. Tumnus
3. Aslan
4. Christmas
5. Witch
Plus either:
Create a poster with your top 10 facts about evacuees
Or: Watch the following Youtube clip below and answer the questions beneath it in full sentences.
What cities did the government think would be targeted?
When did the evacuations start?
What was the operation code named?
How many children were evacuated in the first few weeks?
How many secondary pupils actually left Birmingham
Who organised the lists of children to go?
How many children had returned home by Christmas 1939?
When did Germany invade France?
How often was London bombed during the Blitz?
Week 3
Spellings. Remember, you must be able to use the word in a sentence:

Plus:
Rewrite your menu onto plain paper and decorate it so it could be put in a real restaurant.
Some of these menus will be put on the Narnia display wall.
Success Criteria
I can write 3 paragraphs: starter, main and dessert.
I can use ambitious adjectives - Glorious, delicious.
I can use alliteration - Grass green guacamole
I can use a simile - The salsa was as red as blood
I can make sure my spelling is correct.
I can use full stops and capital letters.
Week 4
Spellings. Remember, you must be able to use the word in a sentence:

Plus either:
Create your own imaginary character. You can draw on paper, or on the computer. Be as creative as you want!
Then, answer the following questions:
What is your animal’s name?
What does it like to eat?
Where does it live?
Where was it first discovered?
What is its favourite thing to do?
OR:
Create a fact file for one of the characters we have met so far in the play: Edmund, Peter, Susan, Lucy, Witch or Mr Tumnus. In your fact file you must include:
· How old they are.
· What they look like.
· What their personality is like.
· What you think will happen to them in the book.
Week 5
Spellings. Remember, you must be able to use the word in a sentence:

3. Traitor
4. Family
5. Sword
Plus:
Re-write your menu on plain paper and decorate it like it could be put on a menu in a real restaurant.
The best ones will go onto our display in the corridor.
Week 6

Create your own magical portal.
Choose one of the tasks to complete. You can complete more than one if you like!

Create your own creation story poem. Use the one we have looked at in class for inspiration.
Or:
Create an information poster about the Creation Story. You must include lots of pics and colour. Also, make sure you include all 7 days and what was created on which day.
